If I stand up and pray five times a day, what does it benefit God? What does it benefit me? What does it benefit the country or society?
Khadush principals are found in Indian cinema . The Hindi word Khadush means - strict, rigid, scary. In traditional Bengali, it is called strict . Such a principal rules strictly.
Although I am Bangladeshi, I was a student in India for a few years. I know such a strict principal very well. Due to the strict discipline of such a strict principal, such scenes could be seen:
At 8:50 in the morning, the college was completely empty. Not even a crow or a bird. Then at 8:55, one or two people would be seen. Then, in just 5 minutes, 700-800 people would show up from God knows where.
This is exactly the scene seen in the mosque. The prayer is supposed to start at 4:30. Even at 4:25, the mosque is empty. Within just 5 minutes, 50-60 people show up.
The first Surah of the Quran, Fatiha, means - The Beginning (Introduction). Surah Fatiha is actually a supplication (prayer). The main discussion of the Quran begins, from the next Surah Al-Baqarah. Accordingly, the first two lines of the Quran:
- Indeed, this Book (the Quran) guides the righteous. Those who believe in the unseen , establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them. (Surah Al-Baqarah 2,3)
Two words were found here. Muttaqī and Adīkha. The word Muttaqī means - the person who fears Allah .
The very first line of the Quran doesn't say - be calm, polite, good people. It says - fear Allah. The next line says - accept without seeing.
- The essence of these two lines is this - you cannot see God, but you must fear him.
The strict principal of the college intimidates students with various methods, tactics, and strict discipline. That's why the students, afraid of him, run to class at exactly the right time.
Meanwhile, despite not seeing Allah, people run to the mosque at the exact right time out of fear of Allah.
This is an example of God's infinite power. God remains hidden, unseen, yet people fear Him.
We attended class on time out of fear of the principal. This did not benefit the principal; we passed the exam and received our certificates. However, the principal has been found to be responsible in such incidents.
We attend the mosque on time out of fear of Allah. Allah does not benefit from this; we pass the test of this world and have the possibility of entering Paradise. However, in such an event, Allah's infinite power is revealed.
